Hi there! My name is Rita and I’m from a quite and peaceful part of the world called Portugal. These are a few things about me.
I have a positive attitude towards everything. I’m also a critical thinker and I have an eye for details. Lastly I’m a reliable person with a big willingness to learn.
Currently I am working at HEILab, Universidade Lusofona as a developer of tools and games with a heavy focus on VR and the use of biosignals. Prior to this I have worked in a project called VR4NeuroPain. I also worked for Van Marketing Digital in small projects.
I have a BSc. in Games and Apps Development from Universidade Europeia de Lisboa, an Mprof in game development from Abertay University and a Msc in Artificial Intelligence for Games at Falmouth University.

I specialise on Unity and c# aswell as Python, however I’m also capable of using Unreal and c++ as well as GameMaker.
Applied several AI architectures, such as state machines, behavior trees and neural networks, in several different genre of games.
Capable of managing a small team with the use of programs such as Trello.
Besides the obvious time spent playing video games these are some of the things I also feel very passionate about:
I love the outdoors due in great part to the fact that I have always lived away from big cities. I especially like to hike through deep woods where I can barely see the sky.
My pets are my other full time job. Whether I’m walking and playing with my dogs or cuddling with my cat I’m most likely to be accompanied by a pet..
A strange hobby for someone in this industry. However gardening brings me peace of mind and there is something magical about watching plants grow.
Although I am a programmer, I started my adventure by investigating concept art. I like drawing, painting and printing miniatures as well as building terrains.
